How Juicing Can Help Rid Your Acne

Consuming the raw juice of vegetables and fruits can remedy many ailments. For the many acne sufferers out there it is definitely worth considering how juicing can treat your skin rather than relying just on medications and costly creams and lotions.

Why do so many of us suffer from acne? Hormone imbalances mean that the oil glands in your skin start to produce too much oil. This usually happens due to the types of foods and drinks you are consuming. Before putting all your faith in the large pharmaceutical companies for their medications consider how simply changing your diet can potentially help heal your skin condition. The aim is to restore your hormone balance with natural remedies. The best way to do this is to begin by juicing green vegetables and drinking the raw juice you produce. Foods that you can obtain these important nutrients from are potatoes, sweet potatoes, nuts, legumes, liver, apricots to name a few.

As well as adding all these natural and pure foods to your diet you need to be drinking lots and lots of water to help flush out any toxins in your body. Along with fresh, raw juices and water you will start to heal your body from within and this will begin to eradicate your acne.

Remember to keep your skin clean by washing it gently with a mild, natural soap with sulphur, avoid harsh chemicals and cosmetics. If you wear make-up stick to the water-based kind and always wash your skin so your pores are unclogged before going to sleep.

It is advisable for stubborn acne to have two tablespoons of fresh flaxseed per day. Along with water and juices you will notice a dramatic reduction in your acne in a matter of a few weeks.

Good Juice Recipes to Help Clear Acne
•    1 large carrot and 1 bunch of spinach – this is a fantastic combination to reduce your acne and cleanse your blood. Spinach is good for regenerating skin cells and carrots contain beta-carotene to help control your acne
•    1 bunch of watercress and a quarter of a cantaloupe (water melon) – the watercress helps to stop acne inflaming because it contains vitamin A, chlorine and folic acid whilst the melon will flush out toxins. Remember to drink plenty of water between juices!
Red juice such as that squeezed from a watermelon is particularly effective because of the beta-carotene it provides you with. As an acne sufferer you cannot drink too much watermelon so keep juicing! Beetroot is incredibly good for skin so every other day throw some into your juicer too!
